The Vintage Inn Restaurant, located in Cottage Grove, Oregon, just 20 miles south of Eugene, home of the University of Oregon, is loved by all the locals for many reasons, but among the top of those reasons is the fact that they are the only 24-hour restaurant in town. This coupled with their location right next to Interstate 5, makes it popular with out-of-towners and trucker drivers alike.

The fact that it's the only 24-hour restaurant in town is also appealing to the race crowd. Our local speedway runs from April to September and is extremely popular; however by the time the races are over everything else is closed. You can bet that there are hungry fans and even hungrier racers and crewmembers packed in there on Saturday nights.

The place is clean and spacious with plenty of tables and a bar to sit at for those dining alone. There is easy access to the bathrooms and outside, there is plenty of parking surrounding the restaurant in the front and back.

Their American dishes offer the great comfort food that we all love and the prices will keep you happy too. With their dinners ranging from $6 to $15 you can't go wrong. You can have breakfast, lunch or dinner any time of the day or night and I would highly recommend their cinnamon rolls, but I warn you now they are huge. I always order a half and I still have some to take home for later.

For lunch, I get the chicken strips and fries, I know it's a boring choice, but I love them. Don't forget about clam chowder on Fridays. Now, my husband is a breakfast man. You know the type; he wants breakfast food any time of the day. His favorite dish at the Vintage Inn Restaurant is the biscuits and gravy, which you also get with hash browns and your choice of bacon or sausage.

"The Vintage is a great family restaurant where we can relax and have a nice meal from a great selection of all our favorites," says Chris Hampton, father of one and welder/fabricator. When you live in a small town, restaurants are a great place to see people and catch up. Not to mention, the service is always better from someone that you've known for years.

So, next time you are cruising down Interstate 5 and you are starting to crave a good home style meal, stop off in Cottage Grove, Oregon and have a bite at the 24-hour Vintage Inn Restaurant.
