Xiomara Cuban Restaurant is more than just a Cuban restaurant in fact the owner has created a fusion of Nuevo Latin food fused with French in addition to the Cuban influence. The menu is filled with a number of very interesting delights. Several examples of delicious starters include Cuban black bean soup, gingered codfish fritters, and steamed mussels served with a citrus sauce combined with white wine and garlic culantro mojo. Should you stop in for lunch a few favorites among local Angelinos include the classic Cuban pressed sandwich with ham, pork, and Swiss cheese served on Cuban bread, the Cuban cobb salad is good as is the Pan con Lechon made from shredded pork dressed with manchego cheese, avocado, tomatoes and green.
Should you decide to have dinner at Xiomara Cuban Restaurant you will find an assortment of dishes from which to select all of which are great. A few personal favorite is a Nicaraguan style skirt steak served with mushroom sauce and potatoes. There is also a lamb shank dish made with malanga and mojo which is incredibly prepared and has an intense and delicious flavor.
