Among all of the restaurants in the Mt. Bethel area, perhaps TK's is the easiest to find. Located directly off of 512, and with plenty of parking, both in the front and back of the restaurant, TK's is definitely accessible. From the moment that one walks into the restaurant, it is easy to notice the very nicely decorated interior, and the separate dining room as well as the bar located in the front of the restaurant. However, even the bar is maintained and very nice, and the dining room is always clean, and one never wonders if the tables were cleaned or not before they sit down. With plenty of room, TK's usually does not have a waiting list, even on busier nights such as Friday and Saturday.
The service at TK's is almost always nice, and it is very difficult to get a waiter or waitress who is not pleasant and cheerful. All the staff do their best to make sure that the customers have a great time while dining. In fact, this may be one of the single nicest things about the restaurant, and the service is truly unparalleled regardless of where one might choose to eat in the area.
However, while the atmosphere and service are both excellent, it may not be a great word to describe the overall quality of the food. Of course, TK's does not have bad food by any means or definition, it just isn't incredible. However, the restaurant does serve very good "dinner" themed meals, such as roast beef with a side of mashed potatoes and vegetables. Also, the hamburgers are generally very good. However, the only thing that absolutely needs to be avoided by TK"s patrons is the buffet. Offered at various times throughout the week, the buffet food is generally cold, bland, and questionable in appearance. However, if one manages to pick the right menu items, and goes in the right attitude; looking for a simple meal with friendly service and nice atmosphere, dining at TK's is a really enjoyable experience, and there is no reason that one should not at least try the restaurant before making a decision about it.
While there are indeed many choices of where to eat in Mt. Bethel, TK's definitely has the nicest atmosphere around, and the food, although it may not be exceptional, is good. From the friendly staff to the nice atmosphere, TK's is an overall very pleasant dining experience, and one that some may wish to repeat many times to come. If one is looking for a nice place to a good meal, and have it served with a smile, TK's may very well be the perfect place.

Post a CommentI was SHOCKED! I had not been to TKS since my husbands failing health, a few years now. But before that it was the place my family ate most of our dinners and spent all of our Family holidays. I made reservations, because it was always so busy on Friday nights. I WAS SHOCKED, when we walked in, this was NOT the same place. The staff i remembered were gone, the atmosphere, was odd, the food was horrible, i couldnt believe this was the same place, let alone the same owner, as i was told by the waitress. Can someone please tell me where the staff i knew so well and enjoyed so much, where they are? Im so hoping the cook is with them to. My hope is they are all working together close by so we can go there. I think the managers name was Laura. The girls names were Moriah, Michelle and Debbie, and Tamara to. And there was a boy named Mark, his brother James, and Alex. Can someone please tell me where they are, this would mean so much? Thank you
The salad was icky. Not enough crutons for me!!!!
Went there tonight, very expensive and the food was not what i expected at all.
Food was terrible. Very cheap, fries were from walmart. Chicken was like rubber! Resturant SUCKED! very disappointing.
As i read these comments i could not believe we are talking about the same place. The food is delightful. I ordered the clams as an appetizer and they were the best clams ive had in a while. They were perfectly cooked and the appearence of the dish looked great. I then had the steak medium well. It was amazing. This steak was juicy and chewy in just the right amounts. I got an amazing meal for such an understandable price.
T.k's is an amazing restaurant. The food is great, the atmosphere is cheerful and the service is always friendly. I went there a couple of nights ago and my waitress was purely wonderful. I insist you try it for yourself.
On wed sept 2010 i left with my wife for a berger and a beer.for the past 20 yrs to be axact.most of the time its on a thusday, but i chaged to a wedsday insted. It was wing night,so i thought great. They hade 4 kings of wings,i orded all 4,thinking i would bring home whats left.suprize///halhway into the wings wicth were 4 doz. mind you, the bar informed us we had to eat them all we could not leave with them///THey never told us the (policy)till halfway into the meal. I ask the barmaid what are they going to do with my 2 doz. wings. she said throw them away/// In these bad times for someone to tell me its policy to waste food is still a sin to me/// I will never go to TK,s agian or any place that has such a wastefull policy/// we will miss sume of the friends that weve made thier/// mike buono
Tried it 3 times and never liked the food, but alot of my friends seem to love the place.
While TK's is a nice looking bar/restaurant, and is very clean, you do not adequately prepare your readers for the quality of the food they will receive. I went for dinner with my fiance. We got steamed clams as an appetizer, and they were badly overcooked. For dinner I got a grilled chicken sandwich and she got a burger. Both were awful! Rubbery texture with no flavor. Very low quality meats. And we really aren't too picky (especially when eating at a bar). We mentioned this to our server and, while she was friendly, she did nothing to accomodate us. Also, at $8.95 each, the sandwiches were grossly overpriced. We may stop in for a drink sometime in the future, but NEVER to eat!!!
