The first Mighty Taco restaurant opened in 1973 in Amherst. Since that time, 15 additional Mighty Taco restaurants have opened in western New York State. Known for their self-established style of "Buffalo-style Mexican food", their title dish, "Mighty Taco", consists of taco-seasoned beef, cheese with lettuce and tomatoes. The restaurant also offers vegetarian tacos, including a refried bean and cheese taco.
Mighty Taco also makes several varieties of burritos. For instance, the three-cheese burrito includes beef or steak with Swiss, American and nacho cheeses. A vegetarian burrito includes cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. For those with large appetites, the El Nino burrito uses ½ a pound of taco beef, cheese, lettuce and tomato stuffed into an extra large flour tortilla.
The restaurant also has a gluten free menu. Those with dietary concerns may read the nutritional information for dishes on the restaurant website.

Moti Mahal Restaurant
Preparers of authentic Indian food, Moti Mahal creates handmade dishes. The restaurant has several vegetarian dishes on its menu. For instance, Vegetable Pakora consists of cauliflower and potatoes fried in their own spiced chickpea batter. Moti Mahal also has chicken and fish Pakora dishes.
Another traditional Indian dish served, Chicken Tikka Kebab consists of slices of chicken breast marinated in yogurt and spices cooked in a customary Indian clay oven called a tandoor. Lamb and beef dishes are also on the menu.

Scotch 'N Sirloin
Established in 1969, Scotch 'N Sirloin offers area residents a popular steakhouse in their backyard. Meats served at the eatery get aged and hand cut on the premises. Various kinds of beef dishes such as sirloin, steak teriyaki, filet mignon and prime rib.
In addition to beef, Scotch 'N Sirloin also serves seafood, including tilapia, salmon and a daily seafood special. Poultry dishes include chicken teriyaki and chicken cordon bleu. All dinners include a choice of potato side dish and access to the salad bar. The restaurant also has a children's menu.
The Scotch Lounge room has a fireplace and live entertainers every Saturday night.

My Tomato Pie
Known for their fried green tomatoes, My Tomato Pie also makes homemade soups and salad dressings. The restaurant serves gourmet pizza and pasta dishes. Made on homemade foccacia bread, the selection of sandwiches includes an unusual Portobello melt. Homemade desserts include key lime and peanut butter pies.
Interesting entrees include Mama Rose's Stuffed Hot Peppers, made with yellow banana peppers and filled with ground sausage and several cheeses. Pasta dishes include classic Italian dishes such as spaghetti and meatballs, but also have unique options, such as Capellini Piccata, sautéed chicken breast, capers, and artichoke hearts in a lemon white wine sauce served over angel hair pasta.
The menu at My Tomato Pie also includes gluten free and children's options.
