Located in Reno, Nevada, the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa is a property made up of a casino, a 30,000-square-foot spa, meeting rooms, a cabaret with live music, restaurants and a hotel featuring 1,000 guest rooms. The property is also close to downtown Reno, several golf courses and the Reno-Sparks International Airport. Several restaurants are located nearby, offering hungry visitors a variety of dining choices.

Bistro Napa
Located inside the Atlantis Casino, Bistro Napa serves a menu of northern California favorites in a casual environment. Entrees feature organic ingredients and include wood-fired pizzas, cast iron chicken, wood-fired jumbo prawns and the restaurant's signature entree, pan-roasted seabass. Wine lovers can chose from 4,000 varieties of northern California wines. Bistro Napa is also home to Nevada's only raw seafood bar featuring oysters and steamed clams. Happy Hour specials are served daily from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and include half-price appetizers, wines and cocktails.

Pirate's Pizza
Voted as the "Best Pizza in Reno" by the Reno Gazette Journal's readership, Pirate's Pizza is located two blocks from the Atlantis Casino. Pizza lovers can chose from 22 varieties of pizzas, from classic pizza favorites (pepperoni, cheese, sausage) to more exotic choices (Japanese pizza and Russian pizza). Other menu items include spaghetti, gyros, and a variety of calzones and paninis. Chicken wings, Greek meze, chicken fingers and more make up the appetizer selections. Reservations are accepted and take-out is available. Pirate's Pizza is closed on Sundays.

La Vecchia Italian Restaurant
One block away from the Atlantis Casino sits La Vecchia Italian Restaurant. This restaurant features a menu of northern Italian entrees. Start off your meal with an appetizer--melanzane (fried eggplant with sauce and cheese) and antipasto misto (cold cuts and cheese slices with vegetables) are two of the selections. For an entree, try the pollo parmigiana (breaded chicken topped with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese) or the linguine vongole veraci (clam linguine with your choice of sauce). Top of your meal with a dessert--selections include tiramisu, creme brulee and cheesecake. Sunday through Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. feature an early bird menu, where diners enjoy a three-course meal at a discounted rate. A comprehensive wine list is available, offering wine by the glass, half bottle and full bottle.

Purple Parrot
The Purple Parrot restaurant is located inside the Atlantis Casino and features a menu of American favorites served 24 hours a day. Breakfast items are served any time of the day and feature steak and eggs, breakfast burritos and omelets. Try the eggs Benedict--it's the restaurant's signature entree. Other entrees include fried chicken, fried prawns, liver and onions, meatloaf and a variety of sandwiches and burgers. An all-you-can-eat soup and salad bar is also available. Desserts choices include root beer floats, banana splits, New York cheesecake and German chocolate cake.

    These restaurants all sound good. We've been to Reno just 2 or 3 times and usually go to Vegas. Nice article.
