Restaurants in Hinckley, Minnesota Serving Thanksgiving Dinner

Turkey and stuffing, cranberries, pumpkin pie as well as the other side dishes still make up that great Thanksgiving dinner many of us are used to. Oh, but that's too much work, you say. Well, let's take the work out of preparing and serving that traditional Thanksgiving dinner by going out and have it served to you, rather then you being the server. In Hinckley, Mn., a 20 mile drive east of my home, there are a number of restaurant options available for that "turkey with all the trimmings" meal.

The Grand Casino in Hinckley has 2 restaurant options where you can have that traditional Thanksgiving dinner. This Indian gaming facility, located on Hwy. 48, just a mile east of I-35 is conveniently located for travelers to enjoy a very nice Thanksgiving meal. They will be serving a Thanksgiving dinner in the Grand Buffet, or for a sit down dinner you can go to the Grand Grill Americana.

The Grand Buffet will be serving a Thanksgiving buffet from 10:00 A.M. until 9:00P.M. on Thanksgiving Day. You will not go away hungry or disappointed if you decide to go to the Grand Buffet for your Thanksgiving Day dinner. As well as the traditional Thanksgiving goodies, there are lines of other entrees including mouthwatering desserts, salads, meats, side dishes etc. You may have a short wait if you decide to go this scrumptious buffet for Thanksgiving, but I can almost guarantee you it's worth the wait.

The Grand Grill Americana, a few steps away from the Grand Buffet offers a full service menu of delicious entrees including steaks, seafood's, and poultry dishes as well as other cuisine. They have a well stocked liquor bar if you decide to have cocktail with your meal. A wine list is available as well as a variety of other cocktails and beer. If you decide you want to watch some Thanksgiving football, a big screen television is also part of their lounge decor.

Tobies, right on the corner of I-35 and Hwy.48, is labeled as a travelers tradition and has been in operation since 1948. This family run business is often called a Halfway Stop, as it's halfway between the Twin Cities to the south and Duluth to the north. This 24 hour restaurant features a coffee shop, an elegant dining room, and a full service bar with entertainment on the weekends, and a bakery with all the fresh baked goodies you could possibly want. They're known for their world famous Carmel rolls. A traditional Thanksgiving dinner is always served their and people from miles around come to enjoy this delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings it has to offer. Other menu items are also available if you'd rather choose another type of entree.

Cassidys Restaurant, located on Hwy.48, just a short distance west of I-35. This family style restaurant features a giant salad bar with homemade soups and breads as well as an assortment of unbeatably delicious salads. They have very good food, including the Thanksgiving Day dinner they always serve. All their food has that delicious homemade taste and touch to it. A coffee shop that opens at 6A.M., as well the famous Kettle Dining Room has ample seating for your convenience. They also have wine and beer available.

I have eaten at all these restaurants on Thanksgiving Day and none of them has ever disappointed me. I suggest
you try whatever one of these restaurants appeals to you for your Thanksgiving Day dinner. Why go through all the trouble of cooking that Thanksgiving Day feast when Hinckley, Mn. has all this wonderful restaurants to serve you?
