Since I live In New Jersey I have quite a few places to go to. I can have steak, turkey, ham, Chinese, roasted chicken, prime rib, burgers, or even breakfast food. It all depends on what I am in the mood for on Christmas if I decided not to cook.
It takes a lot of research, because sometimes you can only place one restaurant at a time in the Google search box. Why go through all this trouble? Your holidays are suppose to be stress free. With that said, I am going to give you one website that will be the biggest life saver to you. You will be able to search for all the restaurants in your area on one site without having to go anywhere else on the web.
I went ahead and placed my city, which is new Jersey. The map came up with 222 restaurants opened on Christmas Day. When looking at the map, all you need to do is follow all the towns with the pink little squares next to them. Click on the square. It will then give you the amount of restaurants opened. For instance: I chose Atlantic City, New Jersey just for fun. 20 places are opened. You have Primavera, Red Pearl, Dynasty, Mia, Ono, The Palm, The Steakhouse At Harrah's, Foundation Room, Tun Tavern, McCormick & Schmick's, House of Blues and more.
Then on the right side of the website, you will see turquoise blue boxes. In them will have different options. Click on My Basket and you can get actual directions for the place you chose to eat at. Maybe your going to a different state. Click on go to a region or state, and choose your destination. This will save you so much time and aggravation. It will also allow you to get some ahead information, which will be so helpful, especially reservations for Christmas Day.
What if your staying home for Christmas and you'r still not cooking, what can you do? What about a fully prepared dinner? Yes they do exist and can be very tasty. Try Hickory Farms, Honey baked Ham Company, Boston Market, or any grocery store should have special meals. To check out other restaurants open read an article called Restaurants Opened On Christmas Day 2009 In New Jersey , or Restaurants and Stores Opened On Christmas Day 2008.
