But your restless wings have taken flight
Running away from a life that's good
I have to say, I knew you would
The years have shown your discontent
But my heart still broke when you went
There were signs that you wanted to leave
I hung onto hope, not wanting to believe
The world called your name in a silvery voice
And you followed as if you had no choice
Your heart and mind said "I want to be free"
Then you set out to find a way you could be
So now you've wandered like a lost sheep
But in my prayers, you I will keep
