Restock for Less with Neopet's "Half Off Sale"

I am always surprised when I come across players at Neopets who don't know about the Half Price Day Sale; it happens the third of every month and includes almost all of the shop. The exception is The Hidden Tower in Faerieland. It is an amazing time to stock up on things that you can resell for a huge profit later in the month. This also helps to explain why items show up at ridiculously low prices on the Shop Wizard. Noobs (new players) hit the shops and start buying things and put them in their shop for a little more than what they paid for them. That means that people who weren't able to get in on a shop restock can hit The Wiz and score some great deals.

Having enough stock to get you through the month is never easy; if you know which shops restock the best items then that is half the battle. It also helps to know the regular selling prices of items as well as what they are going for on the Shop Wizard. In the past items like "Magic Cookie", "Grapes" and "My Garden Book" were huge profit makers but their resale prices have dropped for various reasons. Likewise, there are items that have skyrocketed like "Blumaroo Steak" and "Orange Juice" (for the Bonjour avatar). Knowing the hot items will give you an edge over other shoppers.

With Halloween right around the corner you can bet that the Spooky Food and Spooky Furniture shops will both be cleaned out quickly. The prices on items like "Pumpkin Cookies", "Pumpkin Pie", "Spooky Doughnut" and "Candy Corn Classic" have slowly started rising but this rings true for all things with a spooky, haunted, gross or Halloween theme to them so be sure to look in the bakery, book store and furniture shops for bargains. Hitting the Half Price Sale before a holiday like Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter or Halloween can allow you to stock up on things that you wouldn't normally purchase in shops. If you are looking to make Neopoints, the third of the month is definitely the time to cruise the shops and get some bargains!
