"RESURRECTION" -

Like a Ride on a Time Machine

Todd Matthews
We are indeed knee-deep in production of the film "Resurrection."

In mid 2005 I was approached by John Olivio, a Memphis based director / filmmaker. He wanted to do a documentary film on some of my "travels". After a couple of conversations I agreed and John was on his to my home in Livingston, Tennessee - with a film crew in tow.

I know that all have heard the old saying, the best of times, the worst of times. Shooting this film made this a reality for me. I relived some extremely intense periods of my life, good and bad for this film.

In some ways I was able to revisit friends and relatives long gone, in such depth, the memories created are almost as if they were with me once again. An incredible experience...still unfolding on a scale that I had not imaged possible. Like a ride on a time machine - a chance of a lifetime.

Here is a synopsis of the film, in the last stages of production. Made from blood, sweat and tears...literally.

A documentary currently in-production, chronicles the life and work of cold-cases Internet sleuth, Todd Matthews. Matthews' ten-year obsession to solve the identity of a woman found stuffed in a circus tent bag propelled his all-consuming passion for naming the unidentified dead. He had nothing more to go on than hazy local memory, inaccurate articles, and the firsthand testimony of the man who found her - a man by the name of Riddle. It was Riddle's teenaged daughter Matthews fell in love with, and while telling ghost stories, she said the words "Tent Girl." www.TentGirl.com At home her father revealed the fabled drama from an old, worn Master Detective magazine that stated, "You could be the one to help close the case." Like a thirty year time traveler, Matthews was the one, and now son in law of the man who found her. RESURRECTION examines the little known world of unidentified dead, and those who, like Matthews, labor thousands of hours to name them. The film is directed by filmmaker John Olivio, and expected to conclude filming in late 2006."
