Resurrection Morning

(Easter)

Janice Meyer
Resurrection morning, in my garden fair,
I walk alone.
Sunshine aglow on dew-laden trees, like
gems that sparkle in gentle breeze.
A mockingbird sings a new song to spring,
In beauty, bows back down as if in prayer,
I join him there,
with choirs of angels, all nature sings,
in distant steeple sweet chimes ring.
In the sparkling dawn of April's day,
a dove arose - flew away.

In spacious cathedral, shining, vast,
down green, plush aisles, our Lord has passed.
His sandaled footprint in the moss,
for He has come to save the lost.
"I am the resurrection and the life,"
He said, and the garden was rife.

Thus, I, in another precious dawn
shall rise on wings with angels
and kneel before His snow-white throne.

    Hey Janet,
Really, really was blessed by this poem. I am going to read it in church. Thank-you for writing it, I know it was written from His heart.

    Hello Janet,
Very so much enjoyed this it spoke to my spirit. My heart was lifted up to His throne and I await to see Him and kneel before Him. Very well posed.
