We will see a saturation of Liquor Commercials as well as varied amounts of Department Store commercials. Of course, we always see the toy commercials. Every year we see the "specials" on television as well as the constant bombardment of social interaction within our own Communities, whether they involve Liquor or not.
My take on the Holidays, and primarily anytime of the year, is giving. My fulfillment in life comes from giving of my time, money, and myself. It's amazing how good it feels to give to someone that does not have.
I have a weekly routine where I go to my Elderly Neighbors homes and provide of myself. Needing help around the house, move furniture or best of all, just Listen.
My Husband and I are Cultural Buffs, and we enjoy all History, whether it be Roman, Egyptian or the Napoleon Dynasty. I must say, we enjoy WWII the best. So, whenever we meet someone that has served in any time of War, we say "Thank You"..it's an swesome feeling! Then they invite us for a cup of tea.
There are many people out there that have their own definition of the Holidays, but my take on it is, it should be "holidays" year round. Why must we be satiated by expensive things? Of course reality always kicks back at us and helps us realize that it will always occur, no matter what Century we live in.
Next time you wonder what you can do for someone during this Holiday Season, OR anytime of the year, is give of yourself. It's a great feeling to give to your children as well.
May you be Blessed and Merry Christmas!!
