Retired Webkinz List
As of April 2009, there were over 40 different Webkinz listed as "Retired" that can still be played online. Below is an overview of the retired list of animals.
Dogs
This seems to be a very popular pet for the Webkinz, since nearly half of the Webkinz ever made were some breed of dog. However, quite a few of them have now been retired. This includes the following:
American Cocker Spaniel (slightly different from the regular Cocker Spaniel)
Basset Hound
Beagle
Black & White Cheeky Dog
Black Lab
Cheeky Dog
Chocolate Lab
Collie
Dalmation
German Shepherd
Love Puppy
Pink & White Dog (Not the same as the Love Puppy)
Samoyed
St Bernard
Yellow Lab
Horses
Several horses are now listed as retired, leaving just one or two of them left. If you are looking to have a Webkinz horse, you'll need to grab them soon. The ones already retired includes:
American Albino
Black Friesian
Horse (the orignal brown horse)
Pegasus
Unicorn
Cats
Not quite as popular as the dogs, but there's still a pretty good list of Webkinz cats. Several of them, however, have already been retired. Here are the ones you may have a hard time finding in stores:
Cheeky Cat
Gold & White Cat
Grey & White Cat
Jungle/Tropical Animals
Webkinz has been making quite a few exotic animals or ones that would be native to a jungle. In fact, they've got about as many different tropical forest animals as they do dogs! Several have been retired, but there are quite a few still easily found in stores. The list of retired animals are:
Cheeky Monkey
Chimpanzee
Crocodile
Elephant
Leopard Lizard
Monkey
Rhino
Striped Snake
Tiger Snake
Toco Tucan
Farm Animals
These can be quite fun to collect, although some are getting hard to find. The farm animals now retired are:
Brown Cow
Floppy Pig
Sheep
Other Retired Webkinz
After we broke everything into a category, we're only left with a few more Webkinz on the retired list. Remember, this is as of April 2009, and this list will most likely continue to grow. The remaining retired Webkinz animals not listed above are:
American Buffalo
Blue Whale
Cocoa Dinosaur
Deer
Fantail Goldfish
Grey Squirrel
Penguin
Raccoon
Sherbert Bunny
Where to Find Retired Webkinz
While the local stores may have a retired pet if you look hard enough, the best places to look for retired animals are online. There's several shops that will either sell all their Webkinz for a set price, or base the price on other factors. Amazon is a great place to look because the prices vary so greatly.
