Return of the Living Dead Rave to the Grave ( AKA Return of the Living Dead 5)

This Shows a Reason Why You Should Just Say No to Drugs

While still not as good as the original, this is better than Necropolis in my opinion. Lots of the same people are in the movie as they were filmed within the same period as each other. The acting did seem to be a bit better. This film also has a great message to it. THIS IS YOUR BRIAN ON DRUGS.

This film basically is taken place right after the events of the last film. Charles Garrison is trying to sell a drum on the black market (what a moron) and he is killed by a zombie in the process. The scene then cuts to college were Julian is and he is informed that his uncle died and he needs to put his stuff in order. While there with his girlfriend Jenny, they find Trioxin canisters. They take it to their friend Cody (kind of a mad scientist type) to analyze it and find out what it is. He says it has lots of properties of ecstasy and they decide to make it into dope and sling it to make some cash. Jenny's idiotic brother tries it and talks about it being a super trip. They call the drug "Z" and have a local street pharmaceutical salesman (drug dealer) sell it for them.

One of his first customers is three frat boys. Two of them take massive dosages and become zombies. The third who took very little does not. They chase him explaining that fraternity brothers share things even their brains. The two Russians that were trying to buy the drums off Garrison show up and Kill the zombies. Turns out they are Russian secret service. Julian and Jenny tell Cody what is going on, but Cody is not really ready to listen. More and more students become zombies through bites (this did not turn someone into a zombie in previous Return of the Living Dead movies) or taking the drug.

The main battle is a Halloween rave organized by various college students. Jenny realizes that her brother is going to become a zombie eventually since he took so much. At the party zombies are really not noticed so more and more students become zombies. The authorities come and basically bomb the place leaving a few human survivors.

This was better than the fourth version in my opinion. There is a bit more comedy than the last movie. The acting seemed to be a little better as well. The plot is deeper here and has more drama and action to it. They also use more than just two places to have the movie in like the last one. It is not a super movie, but it is much better than the last one, but not as good as the first three. They appear to leave the idea for another movie in that at the end a zombie is trying to hitch a ride with no luck.
