Reuse You Child's Old Bed: Turn it Into a Desk!

Hexe37
A few years ago my son out grew his old kids bed. We upgraded him to a captain's bed and then tried to figure what to do with his old bed. Instead of just giving it away we deceided to make a desk out of it.

We took the slats off and then just cut the frame in half. Then we used two of the slat's as feet on the freshly cut halfs. After giving the desk "feet" we sat them next to each other with the footboard part to the left and the headboard part to the right. We then bolted them togeither in the back and put tow of the slats on the back part criss cross to keep it stable. Vola instant desk.

Now my son has a computer friendly desk with work space. The Tower sit's under the footboard side with the monitor on top and the keyboard sits on the headboard side with plenty of space left to write, play or (in his case) just dump stuff on. Great way to reuse and saved money we would have spent on a desk he needed
