A wonderful substitute for garlands or Christmas lights would be construction paper cut into tiny strips and then connected into circles and in links. Together with your children you could use the same method to make Christmas ornaments.

In most cases you may have the Christmas decorations that you used to decorate your house during the previous Christmas. If you still have them then you can simply use them again. To avoid your decoration looking like it did the previous year you can simply rearrange the decorations and the alter display pattern. It may also be necessary to modify the decorations that you have and this can be as simple as adding a Christmas bow to a wreath.
