The musical guests describe themselves as performing "soulful, swinging country blues" with a focus upon "proficiency in the use of washboarding, slides and five-gallon buckets."
They say they offer "hard-bitten reality matched with enduring enthusiasm."
Reverend Peyton, the lead vocalist, specializes in "finger-style resonator guitar" while his loyal spouse, "Washboard Breezy Peyton," stars on a musical instrument that we might find in an old basement. And we cannot omit distant relative Aaron "Cuz" Persinger on drum and bucket. Their big hit single is "Born, Bred, Corn Fed."
Get the picture? Sounds a lot like true, genuine bluegrass. Tickets are $12 at the door at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23.
