Reversing a Path of Ill Consequence

Emotional afflictions have plagued the heart,
sadness, hatred, destruction, such pain,
greed, poverty, humility,
the world folding in upon itself,
a hunger,
for happiness,
not to be awkened by another,
but within oneself.
Love,
kindness,
giving,
even if it is the nothingness to which one may hold bounty of heart beyond another.
To reverse the pain felt inside oneself and instead place comfort.

Emotional afflictions are not blinded to reality,
eyes witness to suffering, addiction, and abuse in the world,
violence, rape, murder, suicide,
brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers,
the world folding in upon itself.
A need, to compel,
within oneself.
Compassion,
strength,
understanding,
even if it is the nothingness to which one may hold some bounty of solice to grant beyond another.
To reverse a path of ill consequence and instead change the outcome.
