Review of 100 Calorie Pack Oreo Candy Bites

DeeDee
I am not going to lie about it - I am a true sweets fanatic! I eat pretty well-balanced meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but when it comes to sweets, they are my downfall. I want to be able to eat as much as I want and not have to suffer the consequences in the form of an extra puffy belly or more extensive backend! We all know that isn't reality so lately I've been trying to cut calories where I can. I know that cutting sweets out of my diet isn't completly realistic either so I've been taking advantage of the new "100 calorie" packs that many big companies are marketing.

It's really smart on their part when you think about it. They are charging us more money for less product, but you want know what? I am willing to fall for it because at least I know I am getting a small portion and not overeating. Give me the entire Oreo cookie bag and I am just going to keep on eating and eating and eating....well, you get the point. But if you give me one of the new 100 calorie Ordeo Candy Bite packs and my body will thank you for it. With 17 small tasty treats inside I can drag out my snack for a while, getting satisfaction from eating, plus I can actually satisfy my tastebuds.

These tasty new snacks are round little bites that remind me of a malt ball in appearance and consistancy. The difference? Some are dipped in dark chocolate and others are dipped in white chocolate. Also, the hard crunchy stuff in the middle is chocolate and is surrounded by that ever-so-delicous ordeo cream filling. Now don't get too excited - the layer is really, really thin, but satisying just the same. They are sweet, but no overly sickening. And as the package says, this snack is only 100 calories. Just think - for lunch you can have a glass of water, a hearty salad, a piece of fruit, and one of these 100 calories packs and still get full and satisfied, but you don't have to feel guilty. You'll calorie intake will still be really low.

Nabiscos other 100 calorie packs are worth looking to too. Lorna Doodle cookies, Wheat Thin crackers, Cheese Nip crackers, Chips Ahoy thin crisps, and Oreo thin crips, are a few of my favorites. Find these in the cookie aisle with many other assortments. The price of these snacks are fairly reasonable at 2 for $5, on sale.
