This little drive is silver, thin and a few inches long. It isn't much for looks with its plane case and brand name printed on it. The cap that protects the USB portion is small and easy to remove, but I have not had any difficulties of it sliding off when in a pocket or while wearing it around my neck.
On one end there is a clear plastic piece that lights up to tell you when it is running or flashes when your saving things to it. Although the packaging does not suggest it I clipped a thin keyring in the loop that the light makes. I have tried to be careful with handling it so that it doesn't break, but so far it has been alright.
So far I have no had any problems with the flash drive. It has worked in all of the computers I've plugged into without any problems or drivers. Windows seems to recognize it easily and brings up the normal open of how to open it. The packaging does say that if you are running Windows 98SE you will need a driver.
When transferring files, I have been reasonably satisfied with it. When transferring word documents it goes fairly quickly. The only problems seem to be with larger files such as music or large pictures when you have to wait a little longer for it to transfer. I would say its just twice as faster at saving things to it then if it were a floppy. As long as you don't mind a longer transfer time, the Super Talent flash drive works well.
This drive was labeled for retail to sell for $29.99, but I got it new for $10.00. If you look for sales or go onto some of the online computers stores such as Newegg or TigerDirect you can find some pretty good deals where one can get a 2 gig for the 30$ price.
This is my first experience with Super Talent, but I am reasonably happy with my purchase. Although if I would do it again, I would do more research first and get one that has a better designed method of attaching a keychain or something to it so that it less likely to be loss it porting it and without possibility of breakage. The one gig size is reasonable for me, and I have not ran out of space yet.
