Review of 2007 Sweet Spot Baseball Hobby Box

Kaitlyn Joseph
I was super stoked to get my first ever box of Sweet Spot. It is one of the more expensive brands to buy because the cards are worth more. So, I got the box in a package deal. Here is the break down of the box:

Cal Ripken Jr. Game-Used jersey card

Bo Jackson insert numbered to 575

Bob Feller insert 298/575

Tony Perez Game-Used jersey card

Redemption card for a Fred McGriff sweet spot auto card

The Fred McGriff does not say that is numbered. I have not been able to find anything comparable for the McGriff online so it is hard to tell how much it is worth.

The Ripken Jr. card goes anywhere between $5 and $10 on Ebay. It might be possible to find a better deal for the single card but Ripken is a highly sought after player. When the product first came out, the Ripken probably sold for about $15.

The Bo Jackson insert is almost as hard as the McGriff to tell how much it is worth. Just the fact that it is a Sweet Spot product makes it valuable but no one knows how much sell value it will actually have. Jackson was a good player but his cards do not always have alot of sell value.

The Bob Feller insert is difficult to compare to any other cards. On Ebay there are vintage cards of Feller but not many inserts are made of him these days. The book value for a card like this is going to be very different than the sell value.

The Tony Perez game-used jersey should have some good sell value. On Ebay Perez cards are not going for very much right now. He is a familiar pplayer to people but he is not one of the more sought out players. I'm sure if I looked harder I might be able to find some of his jersey cards on other sites to compare to.

Overall, it was not a bad break. The 2007 Sweet Spot typically costs about $65. It just depends on how much you are willing to pay for 5 cards that may or may not be once in a lifetime cards. Thanks for reading and feel free to check out my other reviews of box breaks.
