Review of 2007 Upper Deck Premier Baseball

A new product for 2007, Upper Deck Premier Baseball, is Upper Deck's newest attempt at the high-end market. As the market continues to be flooded with high-end packs and boxes, each new product tries to be more innovative and a better deal than the previous high-end product, although Upper Deck is the main company responsible for high-end products.

2007 Upper Deck Premier Baseball will carry a price tag over $300. There is always a chance of snagging some for cheaper at a show or on Ebay, but, in general, 2007 Upper Deck Premier Baseball is going to take at least $300 out of your pocket.

The product will come in the one pack per box format where a pack is a box. Each pack will contain 7 cards, so you will be paying around $45 per card. Of course, paying this much gives you a much better chance at pulling something really nice for your collection.

Each pack will include one of each of the following cards:

Premier Stitchings, which are patches manufactured by Upper Deck
Triple or Quad Memorabilia Card
Dual or Triple Patch Card
Autograph Card numbered to 99 or less
Rookie Card numbered to 199 or less
Foil Numbered Base Card
The last card will be either another autograph or a printing plate.

The base set will consist of 200 cards. The base set is being called by many as the best looking and most impressive base set of all-time. In order to collect this base set though, plan on buying the singles as you only get one base card per pack.

Rookies for 2007 Upper Deck Premier Baseball will be called Premier Rookies and will be numbered to 199. There will be several different parallel versions of Premier Rookies that will be numbered to 99, 75, 49, and 1 respectively.

With autograph cards featuring autographs from multiple players, you have a chance at pulling cards that have autographs of player such as Griffey, Ripken, Clemens and many more, all on the same card.

Rare Remnants Triple and Quad
Premier Patches
Patches Dual and Triple

One of one (1/1) printing plates from all of the cards are also randomly placed throughout the run of 2007 Upper Deck Premier Baseball.

The product is going to offer some of the nicest baseball cards of the year, but the $300 price tag is going to scare away a lot of collectors. If you have the extra spending money, it might be worth it to try a pack, but if you have a smaller budget, just wait until the cards begin to hit the market and pick up the singles of players you want for significantly cheaper.
