Review: 2008 Honda Accord LX

WRITER
The Honda Accord was introduced to America in 1976 as a compact car. The Accord has become so popular Honda has resigned it to become a more luxurious ride moving it to become a mid-size sedan in 1998. The Accord has been favorable by numerous people throughout its history. However, the Honda has taken another turn and been completely redesigned for 2008. Introduced the vehicle larger in size and became more luxurious.

The U.S economy is changing directions to smaller compact vehicles with greater gas mileage the Accord is a perfect fit. The Accord for $20,350 is equipped with a 2.4 liter engine with 190 horsepower. The engine is a 4 cylinder with a 16 DOHC. That is enough power to go to 0-60 in 7.9 seconds. The average gas mileage is 22 city and 31 highway. With an 18.5 gallon tank you will roughly get around 400 MPG or more. Fighting against rising gasoline cost you can not ask for more.

There are many comfortable features that come with the Accord without an upgrade. Honda has added them to make your driving experience more enjoyable. Standard features include sun roof, power windows, power locks, leather seat, remote entry, CD player and power seating. Do not forget the cold air conditioner. The option to seat five and enormous trunk space are incredible.

The Accord has been tested for crash analysis. The result from the crash at 40 MPH was above standards. The Accord holds one of the highest crash test ratings. The Accord is equipped with traction control, ABS, electronic brake assistance, driver airbag, passenger airbag, side head curtain air bag, and anti trap trunk release.

You will not have to worry about your vehicles protection after purchasing an Accord. Honda has grown a great reputation for building vehicles to last. Therefore Honda has an aggressive warranty program on there vehicles. The Accord is covered for 36,000 miles or 3 year bumper to bumper. Then follow by a 60,000 miles or 6 years power train warranty for major repairs. The paint is protected by a 60,000 miles rust warranty.

The Accord has been rated a 9.3 on MSN and 8.9 on Edmunds consumers reviews. That itself should tell you what a great vehicle it is. The new dynamic style, upgrade in size, and comfort no wonder the vehicle has receive a high rating. The Accord resale value is incredibly high compared to other vehicles in its league.

    GREAT REVIEW!
And I totally concur with your opinion. I drove my Honda Accord for 5 and half years without a tune up and with not one tiny problem, great gas milage, and in comfort! I can attest to it's safety too. On the night before I was about to give it up to one of my kids, I was hit by a livery cab in Queens, on the passenger side! And it was a hit and run, that had run a stop sign going quite fast! Yes the car was in bad shape, about 8k in repair estimates but neither my son or I would injured seriously!! Almost miraculous :) Sigh, I miss my Honda..................
