Review: 2008 Toyota Prius Hybrid

WRITER
The 2008 Toyota Prius Hybrid is one of the most gas efficient vehicles on the market today. The slim compact design is very eye appealing. The Prius offers a new design and technology for American consumers. The American car industry has been evolving from muscle cars to compact gas efficient cars. Toyota is once again ahead of the game. Prius gives hybrid another definition. If you are concerned on the future fuel cost here is the answer to your problem. The Prius is given the rating of 9.2 out of 10 from MSN car reviews. The fun and comfort design enhances driver comfort. Hybrid is the new technology that allows the car to be powered by electric and later by gasoline. Every time you are idling hybrid cars run on electric. The results are incredible gas mileage.

The Prius is equipped with a 1.5L DOHC inline 4 cylinder Hybrid engine. The engine has 110 HP at 5000RPM for comfortable driving. It cuts off the electric motor at 67HP then switches to gasoline power. This allows the Prius to get 48 MPG city and 45 MPG highway. With a 11.9 gallon tank you will be able to get approximately 547 miles to the tank. The gasoline at $4.00 a gallon will cost $48 to fill up.

There are many features that accommodate the Prius. For easy driving it has P185/65R15 86 tires and a mounted spare tire inside the car. Many other features include clock, trip, chrome grill, rear spoiler, remote power locks, power windows, power steering, cup holder, climate control, and AM/FM CD player.

The Prius has many safety features for the consumers. Prius is equipped with 4-Wheel ABS, traction controls, dual front side mounted air bags, passenger air bags, driver air bags, low tire waning and low fuel warnings. The state of the art technology enables the driver peace of mind when driving.

The Prius has a great warranty program. The 3 year or 36,000 miles warranty covers everything bumper to bumper. The 5 year 60,000 miles warranty covers major components such as engine and transmission. The 8 year or 100,000 miles warranty covers all components of the Hybrid's system. Toyota also throws in a 5 year warranty on rust. The Toyota Prius is the answer to many drivers concerned about future fuel cost. The Prius offers not only great gas mileage but also great service after purchasing the car.

This is great info to know. I am a Toyota lover, so I'm glad I ran across this article. I am really attached to my 4Runner, but it's hard not to consider a hybrid in today's tough economic times.
