Review of 2009 Emmy Awards, Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris

I watch every award ceremony every year hoping that one day I will attend. And The Emmy's would be one of the most fun award shows to be on. This year, Neil Patrick Harris hosted the award show, and they couldn't have picked a better host. Not only does he know how to draw an audience in, but he keeps them entertained even in the most boring of situations. He was hilarious and confident, every thing that a host should be. There were a few boring speeches, as are on every award ceremony, but Neil knew how to make it work. He used it as an opportunity for him to step in and show everybody what a genius character he could be.

Then when it came to the presenters, they knew just the people to announce the nominees and winners. They made sure to make the presenter interesting and somebody that everybody loved, even when the subject of the nomination wasn't a crowd favorite. And then when the winners of the award came to claim the gold statue, they kept it short and sweet, because lets face it nobody wants to sit for five minutes listening to somebody thank every single person they know while to us they just are names of strangers.

When it came to the fashion of the stars, some were a hit and some were a miss. It seemed like everybody had to wear a tight dress that they had to squeeze into, but it was more of a popular hit for the older stars, which didn't look the great when it came to the under arm fat. But the guys dressed great, and Alec Baldwin even joked when Rob Lowe came to present his award, "I would trade this to look like him." Which was a great and humorous moment because it just showed that the older stars want to look young and slick but they know how to make fun of themselves.

Between the fashion, speeches and host, I would say that this year Emmy awards was a winner with itself.
