This Shampoo was a Little Bit Hard to Get Use to but Overall I Liked It

For a while now I have been using a very peculiar shampoo. I was given it as a gift after running out of Nature's Gate Organics Lavender and Aloe Shampoo. A friend of mine saw it on clearance and noticed that it was all natural and even made with some organic ingredients. I thought that this was incredibly kind and was eager to try out the all natural shampoo however I certainly thought that it looked interesting. The shampoo was 84% Pure Aloe Vera Hair Soothing Shampoo by Jason and I thought that it was interesting that you could make a shampoo that was nearly all aloe vera, it sounded all natural for sure. Here is what I thought about it.

The first time that I used the 84% Pure Aloe Vera Hair Soothing Shampoo by Jason I was a little bit disappointed because I thought that it made my hair oily and thus my freshly washed hair looked really dirty. I did not blame the shampoo though, I didn't read the directions and didn't use any conditioner. The next time that I used it I noticed that it said to repeat if desired so I did that and I saw a big difference when my hair dried, it actually looked clean. For many weeks I used the shampoo and discovered that it was temperamental. Sometimes after using it my hair looked great and other times it was oilier than I prefer. I guess there were some days I wasn't using enough or using too much. Overall though I was happy with the shampoo. I was curious of what made up the other sixteen percent of the shampoo.

The first ingredient of the 84% Pure Aloe Vera Hair Soothing Shampoo by Jason is of course aloe barbadensis leaf gel aloe vera that is certified organic. Purified water follows along with cocamidopropyl betaine, certified organic anthemis nobilis flower extract chamomile, polyquaternium-7, certified organic calendula officinalis flower extract marigold, cocamidopropyl hydroxysultane, decyl glucoside, certified organic equisetum arvense leaf extract horsetail, spirulina maxima spirulina, Dl-panthenol, ethyl panthenol, panthenyl hydroxypropyl steardimonium chloride, sodium lauroamphoacetate and certified organic lavendula intermedia leaf/flower/stem extract. The list continues with the remaining including vitamins. Last on the list is natural tocopherol vitamin E, ascorbic acid vitamin C, triticum vulgare protein hydrolyzed wheat, cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone, vegetable glycerin, retinyl palmitate vitamin A, benzyl alcohol, citrus grandis seed extract grapefruit, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, citric acid and a fragrance oil blend. I was very glad to see that the shampoo didn't contain any lauryl/laureth sulfates.

In addition to not containing any lauryl/laureth sulfates the 84% Pure Aloe Vera Hair Soothing Shampoo is safe for color treated hair, is bio-degradable, doesn't contain any animal by-products, is not tested on animals, is paraben free and is made in the USA. My friend told me that it is was around five dollars, of course this was on clearance. From what I see online it goes for anywhere from five some to seven some, before shipping costs, for a sixteen ounce bottle. I still have quite a bit left of this shampoo and I think that when I am done with it I'll replace it with a different shampoo. I would recommend this shampoo more for people who have short or fine hair, or both. Having long thick hair seems to make it more difficult to wash out, as it is thick, which can leave your hair looking oily. Even if you do have thick long hair if you are use to using thick shampoos and like them I would recommend using the 84% Pure Aloe Vera Hair Soothing Shampoo for its wonderful ingredients and good practices.
