Review: Al Manzil Hotel in Dubai

If you are planning a trip to explore Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, you should consider staying at the Al Manzil Hotel. Dubai is a very popular tourist destination, especially for those looking for some of the best shopping in the world. In fact, there are more than 70 shopping malls within the emirate.

The Al Manzil Hotel is a five minute walk from The Dubai Mall, which is the 7^th largest mall in the world. The hotel is also located within about a 20 minute drive of the airport and the beaches, which makes it a convenient place to stay. Also, if you are interested in seeing the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower, the hotel is near that as well. The hotel even has a complementary shuttle service that takes you to The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta mall, and the beach.

While Dubai is generally considered an expensive city, the four-start Al Manzil Hotel is reasonably priced. Our room cost us $175 per night. The hotel does a great job of combining traditional Arabic style with modern conveniences (such as free wifi) to make it a welcoming setting for all types of travelers. A neat feature I enjoyed was that the flat screen TV rotated so I could watch it from in the bathtub as well as on the bed. Keep in mind that there is a glass cube enclosing the bathtub which might be an issue if you are staying there with a friend or your children.

There are four restaurants on the property. Nezesaussi is a sports grill where you can watch all of the major sporting events on their large TVs. The Conservatory is open all day but I recommend you check it out during breakfast for the buffet. The Courtyard is a great option if you would like to enjoy your meal outside. And finally, Mokaroma is a small café with great coffee and pastries that is open all the time in case you ever want a snack.

I found the hotel to look very new and be spotlessly clean. The staff was welcoming and well trained. Considering I was in a strange country for the first time, I came up with quite a few questions for them throughout my stay. Even if they did not know the answer, they were more than willing to look it up or find someone who did. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone interested in traveling to the area and would consider staying here again if I were to return myself.
