The Al Manzil Hotel is a five minute walk from The Dubai Mall, which is the 7th largest mall in the world. The hotel is also located within about a 20 minute drive of the airport and the beaches, which makes it a convenient place to stay. Also, if you are interested in seeing the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower, the hotel is near that as well. The hotel even has a complementary shuttle service that takes you to The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta mall, and the beach.
While Dubai is generally considered an expensive city, the four-start Al Manzil Hotel is reasonably priced. Our room cost us $175 per night. The hotel does a great job of combining traditional Arabic style with modern conveniences (such as free wifi) to make it a welcoming setting for all types of travelers. A neat feature I enjoyed was that the flat screen TV rotated so I could watch it from in the bathtub as well as on the bed. Keep in mind that there is a glass cube enclosing the bathtub which might be an issue if you are staying there with a friend or your children.
There are four restaurants on the property. Nezesaussi is a sports grill where you can watch all of the major sporting events on their large TVs. The Conservatory is open all day but I recommend you check it out during breakfast for the buffet. The Courtyard is a great option if you would like to enjoy your meal outside. And finally, Mokaroma is a small café with great coffee and pastries that is open all the time in case you ever want a snack.
I found the hotel to look very new and be spotlessly clean. The staff was welcoming and well trained. Considering I was in a strange country for the first time, I came up with quite a few questions for them throughout my stay. Even if they did not know the answer, they were more than willing to look it up or find someone who did. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone interested in traveling to the area and would consider staying here again if I were to return myself.
