First of all, it is touchscreen! What a cool idea. It works OK, but it's not very finger-sensitive like I would have liked it to be ... or maybe that's just the science fiction novel side of me talking about a time when I would sit up late with my dad and brother watching science fiction movies and shows, in awe over their mostly-perfect computer systems. So there you have it: the touchscreen isn't the best part about it. Sometimes it's sensitive and sometimes it's not. Sometimes it's just plain confused. I hope it's just mine that does this.
Moving on, the design of the device itself is really quite adorable. I feel really high-tech driving around with it mounted in my car. The screen is plenty visible and bright, and the instructions/maps it gives are easy to understand and pleasurable to use. The screen is high-definition. The screen was much better than the one I had previously used, a Magellan Maestro 3100. It was clearer and the maps are better than the one I had previously used.
It is really easy to use, I think even my grandmother could use it. That is a really good thing. And yes, easier than even the Magellan one I had tried out (which by the way is around the same price).
It plugs right into my cigarette lighter so I can charge it up right there. I really enjoyed this, and once fully charged it can last up to three hours.
Not only that ... and you will love this ... it's also a personal entertainment system! Yes! You can play MP3 and MP4 right on it! That way you can listen to all your favorite music that's on MP3 right in your car without getting any other devices/upgrades! It also has a photo-viewing capability which sounds really cool.
You should expect to pay around $200 for this cute little device. In my opinion, it really is worth it if you want to invest in a GPS system. The maps are great, the resolution is great, the sound is great, the size is great.
I had never really considered anything from the company Amcor before. But I think I will rethink my buying process in the future because this has really turned out to be a great product. I don't typically shell out two hundred bucks out for just anything - I'm rather cheap, actually - but this was worth every cent.
The only thing I have any kind of trouble at all with, and even it is not too much to complain about, is that the screen does not rival what I remember as a little girl being in a Star Trek show or something. But good luck with that, don't think that will happen for a long long time.
