Candles Everywhere

Donna Noble
I have a closet full of candles. Most of them were gifts from my grandmother, who is determined to light half the world with candles each Christmas. Every time I get another candle, I put it in the closet and add it to the collection. The collection is made up of candles of various shapes, sizes, and scents. You might be asking why these candles are in the closet rather than being used as decorating elements in my house. I admit that I have some candles around the house as decoration but I also want candles that actually can be burned. The candle graveyard in my closet is made mostly of candles that have a great scent when you open the container, but when you burn them they smell only of wax. Nothing seems strong enough to satisfy me. The scents don't cover smells like I want them too, which is important in a home with four dogs. Of course with my new favorite candles I may have found the perfect combination of fragrance and decorative elements that I am looking for.

The candles I am referring to are made by a company called April's Scents. Candles can be purchases through their website at www.candleart.com. They come in a variety of sizes and different containers including a 4 oz. and 13 oz. mason jar mug which provides 80-100 hours of burn time. These candles can be purchase individually, by the case, and can even be purchased at discount for fund-raising. The fund-raising option is great from sports teams, cheerleading squads, 4-H groups, and many other groups. The variety of scents ensures that each person can find something that suits their needs. Fragrance oils can also be purchased through the website.

As I mentioned before these candles have enough scent to be useful yet are not so overpowering that you get nauseous after just a few minutes of burning. I have personally tried the cucumber melon, banana nut bread, and lily of valley. I have a few more that I have not had occasion to burn, but if the ones I have used are any indication I am sure I will be satisfied with them as well.

If you are looking for inexpensive candles that provide strong scents give April's Scents candles a try, you may find your new favorite candle.

Candleart is located in Dieterich, Illinois, and can be reached at 207-925-5905.
