The Archway Ginger Snaps are labeled as part of their crispy snacking cookies series. On the Archway cookie bag the snacking cookies are described as convenient mini size for on the go snacking. They also say that these cookies are the cookies that you would make if you had the time. In my opinion the ginger snaps are the same size as normal Ginger Snaps since they aren't that big anyway. The Archway Reduced Fat Ginger Snaps are equally as crispy as regular Ginger Snaps and could probably replace regular ginger snaps in recipes without a difference.
The Archway Reduced Fat Ginger Snaps have thirty percent less fat than their regular Ginger Snaps. However, the taste is nearly identical to my usual off brand of Ginger Snaps. The bag claims that Archway cookies taste like homemade. All I know is that the Ginger Snaps tasted good and was very crispy. The Archway Reduced Fat Ginger Snaps have a warm ginger taste that I love.
A serving size of Archway Reduced Fat Ginger Snaps is only four cookies. A serving gives you 3.5 grams of fat, or about five percent of the daily amount compared to five grams of fat in the original Archway Ginger Snaps. Considering that I never noticed the missing fat, why would I want to eat the original Archway Ginger Snaps?
For a fourteen once bag, I believe I paid a few cents over two dollars at Walmart and was the exact same price as a fourteen once bag of the regular Archway Ginger Snaps. Of course, Archway Reduced Fat Ginger Snaps can be found at most large grocery stores or supercenters like Kmart or Krogers.
I would recommend the Archway Reduced Fat Ginger Snaps to anyone that enjoys the taste of ginger, or to anyone that just wants to snack on something sweet without gaining too much weight. The cookies taste wonderfully warm from the ginger and has just the right amount of sweetness. And since they are reduced fat ginger snaps you can eat just one or two more without feeling too guilty.
