Review: Arrowhead Mills Puffed Rice Cereal

Elise Marie
One of my favorite breakfast cereals to eat in the morning is the Arrowhead Mills Puffed Rice Cereal. I like this cereal because it is light, yet filling and taste good. The cereal also has some fiber and minerals which are needed by the body to help get it up and going in the morning such as B vitamins.

The Arrowhead Mills Puffed Rice Cereal comes in a 6 ounce bag that isn't sealable so you will want to have a cereal container on hand to pour it into so it doesn't become stale. The cereal is very affordable and I can get at least twelve good sized bowls of cereal out of one bag. The puffed cereal is just puffed whole grain brown rice and nothing else. It is a simple breakfast cereal, but I enjoy eating as a healthy snack as well when I am hungry.

My favorite way to eat the fluffy brown rice cereal is by pouring one cup into a cereal bowl and adding in a ½ cup of goat's milk since I cannot have cows milk. However, I am sure this cereal would taste excellent with cows milks if you prefer. I have also had this cereal with chocolate goat's milk on mornings when I have a sweet tooth and want to switch my cereal up a bit. The puffed rice taste so delicious with the chocolate milk as well. Some mornings I toss in dried strawberries or sliced of bananas which is tasty when I am in a fruity mood.

Another thing I like about this cereal is it doesn't upset my stomach like some cereals do. It is important to me to be able to eat a breakfast and keep it down in the morning. In the past I have had breakfast cereals and they sit in my stomach all morning and make me sick. This brown rice cereal breaks down easier in my digestive tract and doesn't cause gas or bloating either.

I would definitely recommend the Arrowhead Mills Puffed Rice Cereal to anyone who is looking for a natural healthy filling cereal to have for breakfast in the morning because I enjoy eating it so much. I do hope those of you who try this cereal as well, like it just as much. I wish you all some very happy mornings ahead of you.
