As said earlier the Eee PC 900 design is quite similar to other notebook manufactured by the Asus Company of the same category. But a procurer would say that a larger or bigger screen is preferable to what the PC 900 is equipped with. The device is equipped with a dimension of 22.5x17x2cm and has a weight of 2.2 lbs. When the AC adapter is included the weight of the device is increase to 2.8 lbs. The frame or edifice of the device is made of thick plastic that is quite durable. When a procurer slides the display or screen vertically the keyboard of the device is revealed.
The device is equipped with a unique form of features and performances.. It is equipped with a screen that a size of 8.9 inch and also features a resolution of 1024x600. Considering the size of the screen one would say that the resolution it contain is quite commendable. The rear-lighting and pixels that is offered by the screen of the device is quite commendable.
The Eee PC 900 notebook is quite different from the original or previously made Eee PC notebook featured in the global market. The Eee PC 900 comes with a pre-stalled Window XP, which is quite different from the previously manufactured Eee PC notebook. The previously manufactured Eee PC laptop or notebook comes with a pre-installed Linux configuration.
Comparing the Eee PC 900 to the previously manufactured Eee PC notebook, a procurer would find out that the speakers of the former are located on both sides of the notebook, while the original Eee PC notebook has it speaker on the bottom.
Some category or aspect of procurer would not the keyboard of the Eee PC 900 interesting to work with. This is because the keyboard is quite small in size but it is not subjected to flex when hard pressure is enact on it.. The keyboard is quite prone to a procurer's finger print.
The responsiveness of the touchpad is quite impressive and fast. One would find out that the touchpad of the previously introduced Eee PC is smaller than that of the Eee PC 900 notebook.
In the case of gaming and other high application, would say that the device does not have the capability to smoothly run them due to the size it possesses. The device is equipped with a Core 2 Duo 900MHz processor. This is nothing to be compare to other power device that are been introduced in the market of Notebook. Taking the processor speed into consideration one would find out that the Sony VAIO TZ is quite higher than the Eee PC 900. An improvement need to be done in this aspect.
Wireless
An Atheros AR5BXB63 is used to facilitate 802.11b/g wireless internet connectivity. This is said to be quite similar to that of the previously manufactured Eee PC
A 4-cell battery that is equipped with a capacity of 4-cell 5800 mAh supplies power or energy to the Eee PC 900 notebook. When normal application are been used the battery has the ability to stay up to 3 hours.
The device is adequately equipped with quite some good performance but it is targeted at students that need a notebook. The Eee PC 900 is competent enough to stand out among notebook of it category.
