Review: Aveeno Active Naturals Skin Relief Lotion

I like Aveeno Active Naturals Skin Relief because it cured my itch problem. I'm always a little skeptical of product packaging and its claims. Too often I have seen that products don't live up to their overblown promises. Just because the bottle said "Skin Relief" did not convince me.

A couple winters ago, my legs itched horribly, especially after shaving but at other times too. Sometimes in bed, as I tried to fall asleep, my legs would start itching. I tried to resist scratching, but the itch turned me into a tiger-growling to my husband about my itchy legs and clawing at that unbearable itch. I've never experienced allergic reactions to specific fragrances, but I have had problems with certain sunblock lotions and other skin products. The less coloring and fragrance, the higher the chance of my skin getting along with the product.

The Outcome of My Experiment

I've been using Aveeno Active Naturals Skin Relief lotion since that initial experiment. It not only tamed my out-of-control itching but also nearly eliminated the flare-ups after I had used the lotion a few times.

I can now enjoy scented lotions occasionally, as long as I use Aveeno Active Naturals on a fairly regular basis to keep my skin conditioned.

I am not claiming that Aveeno Active Naturals is the only viable option to obtain itchy skin relief. But Aveeno Active Naturals has worked well for me, and I can't justify trying a bunch of other products when I've found something that works well for a reasonable price.
