Everything on the Avery 28878 white clean edge business cards read really well. Claimed to provide you with a clean smooth edge, two sided printing, extra sturdy, do it yourself cards, created in minutes. What more could I ask for. I ordered five packs, which is not what I would normally do, but the bulk rate with shipping equaled out to be a far better discount then ordering one to test.
When I got the Avery business cards, I was really impressed with their appearance. The 28878 white clean edge cards are pretty thick, just like real business cards. I was really pleased about that, so I investigated further. The back of the box showed the directions of how to fold the cards to create a perfect clean edge. Now I've used cards in the past that claimed when you folded them you got a clean edge from the cards, and instead it looked as though I folded the cards and tore them apart. It was really annoying to not have that promised clean edge. So I did exactly what as the directions said, and sure enough, the cards popped right out with the smoothest of edges. You couldn't even tell it was connected to the page as a whole. I was eager to get started printing.
I went to google, and typed in the Avery business cards 28878 to get the template business cards. Designed what I wanted, and began to print. I was really pleased to see on the cards all the directions among the sides. This made it very convenient to print both the back, and the front.
When the cards came out of the printer I quickly checked the appearance of the ink on the cards. The Avery business cards don't have a high shine to them, but a flat appearance. By high shine I mean cards that look like photos. These cards absorbed the ink perfectly, and I wasn't even using photo quality ink. All and all I rate these Avery 28878 White Clean Edge Business Cards a 9 out of 10 stars. A nine because there is still something about them, that you can tell they aren't professional business cards but printed cards. I believe it may be the thickness. Business cards have a flex to them, a sharpness that print your own cards seem to lack. If you weren't comparing them with purchased business cards, or know how those feel, you wouldn't be any wiser.
