Review of AVON's Mineral Powder

I was definitely a little bit apprehensive when I first ordered AVON's mineral powder. I had been using Mary Kay mineral powder and really loved it. I was afraid that I wouldn't find another powder that I would like as much as the Mary Kay.

AVON's mineral powder is about half the size as the Mary Kay mineral powder. That was the first thing I noticed. I didn't let that sway me though. One day I did half my face using the Mary Kay mineral powder and the other half using the AVON mineral powder. I asked my husband which side looked the best. He chose the AVON side. Now of course this is just my experience with it.

I did notice myself that the side where I had used the AVON mineral powder had more coverage and was smoother. To me that was hard to believe because I liked Mary Kay so much. I still do like the Mary Kay powder, but was surprised I found another powder that worked equally the same or perhaps better.

I will be keeping an eye on how long the AVON mineral powder does last. With it being a small container I am wondering if maybe it just doesn't take as much to get the coverage I need. We will see. The Mary Kay powder would last about 3 months so I am curious to find out how long the AVON mineral powder will last.

The price difference in the two is quite a bit. Of course the size is different, but the jury is still out on how long the AVON mineral powder will last compared to the Mary Kay. The Mary Kay powder sells for about $18.00 and the AVON mineral powder sells for $10.00. AVON seems to have good deals quite often so the price will go lower.

All in all, I am very impressed with the AVON powder. I had major reservations and very high expectations since I knew how much I liked the Mary Kay mineral powder and didn't think I would find anything that could compare. The AVON mineral powder comes in 12 different shades. That is a plus as you will definitely find a shade that will fit your skin tone.
