It comes in 10 different color combinations you can choose from. I chose "The Roses". It has a dial on the bottom of the tube where you dial in what shade you would like. 1 being the lightest color and 7 being the darkest.
I must say I have been very pleased with this lipstick. The shades seem to be pretty spot on what the dial reads. It even has a nifty feature where you can lock the dial so it doesn't accidently push lipstick out while in your purse.
When I first received the lipstick I was caught off guard by the application of it. With regular lipstick you are dealing straight with the lipstick on your lips. With the Spectracolor you push the lipstick up through tiny holes and apply that way. It actually works very well and I have had no problems with it.
One tip I do suggest is to wipe off the tip after each application. Just so you don't mix the colors you previously chose with the new ones. For example, if I dialed in 7 yesterday, which is the darkest color, and then wanted to dial in 1 today I wouldn't want some of 7's shade getting mixed in with shade #1. I just find this easy to do plus it keeps the applicator always clean.
For 7 lipcolors AVON's Spectracolor lipstick is very affordable! It is only $7.99. You can't buy 7 different lipsticks for $7.99! I am always eager to find out how long the color on a lipstick will last too. I was very pleased to find out this lipstick stays on for a very long time. I applied it in the early afternoon and then went out to dinner and then still later that evening I still had lipstick on without ever having to reapply. I like that!
Here are the color combination choices you can get with the Spectracolor. The Peaches, The Browns, The Caramels, The Nudes, The Wines, The Raisins, The Berries, The Roses, The Lilacs, and The Pinks. As you can see, they have a color for everyone! Within each of those color combinations you have 7 different shades to choose from.
