Review of the Baby Trend Travel System by Baby Trend

MomToMaia
The Baby Trend Travel System by Baby Trend is a stroller and car seat combo. There are many parents that are interested in finding out more about this system. This review will introduce you to my experiences with the Baby Trend Travel System.

The infant car seat in the Baby Trend Travel System has a Flex-Loc base that stays in the car. Unfortunately, you only get one base, so if you want another one you have to order and pay for it. Since the base stays in the car you can take the car seat in and out with you which is great for when you baby is a newborn. This way you don't have to worry about waking your little one up or worry about fussing with the harness, etc. The car seat has a 5 point harness, adjustable back, a level indicator to let you know if you've got it properly set up and a nice sized canopy. The seat is for babies 5 to 22 pounds, but I cannot recall the recommended infant height. The height must not be that high because my daughter was outgrowing it within a few months.

The stroller has a reclining seat, canopy with sun roof, child tray with cup holder, and a parent tray with a cup holder and a spot to put things, like your keys, that is covered. The Baby Trend Travel System stroller also has a decent sized storage basket underneath where you can put the diaper bag and other things if needed. The stroller does take some getting used to for opening and closing. It can be a pain to achieve unless you are able to use both hands. Once you've got it closed and ready to pop in the trunk, it's a little bigger than you would hope for.

The handle on the car seat of the Baby Trend Travel System is usually very difficult to move. You really need to put your muscle into pushing those buttons on the sides of the handle to get it up and down. You have to be able to do this, as it is needed for taking your baby in and out of the car seat.

The stroller with the Baby Trend Travel System did not hold up as well as would be expected. Within only a few months the wheels started to wobble and looked like they would come off. The trays were starting to become iffy as well. Opening and closing the stroller was really not an easy task. At least it was easy to attach the car seat to the stroller and lock it in place. It was also easy to unlock the car seat from the stroller and lock it back into the base in the car.

All in all, I would not recommend the Baby Trend Travel System. It was a really good price and I really liked the look of it, the style we bought was called Orange Oak. However, that was as good as it got.
