Review of Baja Fresh Mexican Grill Restaurant in Baltimore

I have been on the look out for a good Mexican restaurant in the USA as I myself is a lover of Mexican food items. I recently came across one such Mexican Grill restaurant that is serving most authentic and tasty Mexican food delicacies. We visited Baja Fresh at the city of Timonium located at 2080 York Road near Baltimore city having phone number as 410 561 1050. Baja Fresh has been operative since the year 1990 and gaining popularity ever since. We had gone for a family dinner with our relatives staying at Baltimore. It was a Saturday evening and we reached the restaurant at around 7 pm. The restaurant looked impressive and decorative with huge parking lot just adjoining it.

We entered the restaurant and went straight way for ordering. We were really amazed to see the number of Mexican varieties served here at the most economical rates. There were Burritos, Tacos, Salads and sides, deserts, and the cold beverages. We ordered Grilled Veggie Burritos for most of us as a main dish. As soon as we order, we were served with the tortilla chips with the salsa sauce free of cost as per the restaurant practice. Some of the people in our group went for Taco Combo with chicken as main portion. Both these items were delicious and we all immensely enjoyed them. There was a large salad bar with at least 5 types of sauces and chutneys. The main dishes that we ordered were priced at around $5 to $6. The main dishes were served with tomatoes salad, onions salad, sour cream, pinto or black beans, and again the tortilla chips. The proportions served were also quiet large, fully satisfying our hunger. In addition to this, there are 5 types of Baja Favorites served like Quesadilla, Fajitas, Chicken Tortilla Soup, and Nachos, also served at the price range of $5. The salads and side varieties are also served in around 6 varieties in the price range of around $2 to $3. Some selected deserts are also available for the sweet lovers like me. I went for Churro, a special type of Chocolate Chip Cookie. The price of this desert was $1.30. The restaurant also has a nice sitting layout and one can move freely inside the restaurant without any obstacles.

The quality of the food was excellent here and this was very obvious due to the basic three principles of the Baja Fresh restaurant chain. These principles are absolutely zero use of can openers, freezer, and the microwave. As you all know, these three aspects certainly affect the taste and the quality of the food items. The capacity of the restaurant was 88 persons indoors and around 44 outdoors also. If weather is right, you can enjoy your delicious meal in the sunshine. The cleanliness was also good inside the restaurant. There are suitable party packs also designed and served at Baja fresh. The typical party pack of Burritos for 8 people cost around $ 40. The Fajita pack priced at $54.95 is also available that also can serve around 8 people. Many such suitable party packs are available of your choice. The food was also not extremely spicy and of just right taste.

In spite of all above positive aspects of Baja Fresh restaurant, couple of aspects bothered us a lot in negative direction. One was the slightly untrained staff that can make error in taking our orders. Though, this did not happen to us, it appeared likely looking to the staff quality. The second aspect is non provision of the baby diapers change station inside the ladies toilets. We had a baby with us and we did face this problem while changing the diaper of a baby. However, all the other factors were quiet favorable and I have no hesitation in recommending Baja Fresh as one of the most authentic Mexican Grill restaurants to all my AC friends.
