Review of Banana Boat Sport Sunblock Lotion SPF 50

I'm an outdoors girl. I live in Wisconsin, and not only do I want time outdoors, I need it during all four of Wisconsin's seasons. When I was in my late teens, I got serious about sunscreen to help prevent signs of aging and for protection from skin cancer. In all these years (I'm 38 now) I've only used a small handful of different sunscreens. The one that has worked best for me and my family has been Banana Boat. I know I sound like a commercial here, but this is a review for Banana Boat and I'm telling it like it is. I'm often told I look younger than I am and can contribute part of that compliment to the use of sunscreen.

Banana Boat offers [maximum protection from UVB and UVA rays] (Sun Pharmaceuticals, LLC., 2010). Sunburn - no one likes that tight, crispy feeling of having a sun burn. It hurts! In all the years I've used Banana Boat Sunscreen I have never gotten a sun burn when the product has been applied properly. Since the sunscreen is fragrance-free, my sensitive skin is never irritated by it.

This product is [recommended by The Skin Cancer Foundation for effective and safe UV protection] (Sun Pharmaceuticals, LLC., 2010). We should protect our skin. UVA rays are responsible for destroying our skin's elastin and collagen, and UVB rays cause our cells to make more melanin (Anonymous, n.d.). If you are looking for a sunscreen that will help you stave off the signs of aging caused by UVA sun rays and that will prevent sun burn caused by UBV sun rays, I would recommend Banana Boat Sport UVA & UVB Sunblock Lotion SPF 50.
