Review of Barbie: The Island Princess Video Game

Mrs. Renee
As every one knows video games are not just for boys. Girls also have games that cater to their likes and dislikes. One game that seems to be every girls most anticipated this year is "The Island Princes" which features Barbie. This video game is for play station two and is actually taken from the movie. Of course Barbie is the Island Princess who plays the role of Rosella. As Barbie goes through the story she will travel through five very different locations just as she did in the movie. The players job is to get Barbie through the story by collecting items and making various items such as baskets.

Another great feature of this game is that you can actually change characters. If you ever get tired of playing as Barbie than you can play as Prince Antonio, Princess Luciana, Tika, Sagi, or Tallulah. As you make progress you will unlock some of the special characters, and dresses that Barbie can wear. There is also a lot of mini challenges that Barbie or one of the other characters can complete. The cost of this game is about $30, and will be released on October thirtieth. If your daughter is a Barbie fan than she is sure to enjoy playing this game. Who would not enjoy playing with Barbie in her own movie, and being able to determine what she does and where she goes. This game is definitely on the top of the list for many this holiday season. This game is also available for the Wii game console, but early reviews seem to point to the fact that the play station two version is better. Both the Wii and the Play Station two version they have the ability to accommodate multiple players. This is definitely a plus since girls always need a friend to play along with them when they are playing with their Barbie's. The game is also very easy to understand and follow along so the age group for this game does vary greatly. So if your daughter was in love with the money she will enjoy this video game even more. Of course you can also purchase this game for other game consoles including your home PC. All of the games are basically the same but there may be a few differences, which is why many feel that the ply station 2 version is a lot better. So if you are looking for a great gift for a young girl, or perhaps someone who just happens to love Barbie than this is definitely the game for them.
