Just entering the place, weather you are a bookworm or not, it is amazing. The store is designed very spacious. Included in our Barnes and Noble is a separate DVD and CD section, Barnes And Noble JR, and a Starbuck's Café. The way the books are organized is very fashionable and in a great arrangement. They have almost ever section that you can imagine and carry almost every book you could think of.
The staff at Barnes and Noble is very knowledgeable. They are friendly and are always willing to help any customer in finding a book or placing an order if they do not have the book in store. If you are simply browsing the store, they will walk by you and let you know that if you need anything just to ask. I love the friendliness of the store and the way you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. There is a spot on the left side of the store that has big lounge chairs that you can grab a book and pile into for a while. It's my favorite place to crash on a day when I have nothing to do.
In the Junior section you can find lots of kids books. Many of the Barnes and Nobles have play tables, but I've yet to see one here at our Barnes and Noble. The DVD and CD section takes up about ¼ of the store and is organized very nicely. It has its own checkout section to aid customers in easy checkout. Even when the store is at its busy point in the day you never wait in the checkout line long.
If you want to visit the Starbuck's Café inside Barnes And Noble, you are more than welcome. But you can also take your latte or coffee into the store while you browse. There is the full Starbuck's Menu available along with cookies, sandwiches, and cheesecake. Many times you can see a customer sitting in the aisle with a coffee and deep into a book.
Overall, I have a new addiction to Barnes and Nobles. It is a great place to visit. I visit everyday!

Post a CommentThink of it this way, it's like McDonalds selling Coca-Cola products. They're not owned by Coca-Cola, nor can you use a Coca-Cola gift card if such things exist.
Can the starbucks/ Barns and Nobel Cafe take Barns and nobel gift cards?
I love shopping at Barnes and Noble. Although I do try to get into our local store, I do a lot of my shopping online with them.
Excellent review!
Point of clarification: Those are not Starbucks cafes in Barnes & Noble stores. They are Barnes & Noble Cafes that are licensed to serve some Starbucks coffee products. They do not provide a full Starbucks menu as some drinks are exclusive to Starbucks or Barnes & Noble and the food products are from various outside vendors, not just Starbucks. This is an important point because many people mistakenly assume that, just because Barnes & Noble Cafes serve Starbucks coffee/espresso drinks, those are little Starbucks stores within the bookstore. Barnes & Noble Cafes do not take Starbucks gift cards or coupons because they are not Starbucks!
