Review of Beach Bend Water Park in Bowling Green, KY

Over the years, I have visited a lot of water parks in the southeastern portion of our country and that is why I thought I would give my opinion on a local water park here in Bowling Green, Kentucky. I have never been a roller coaster fan in my life. They make me sick to ride and I'll admit that I scream like a girl at a Christina Aguilera concert when I am riding them. So, I avoid roller coasters at all cost. But I absolutely love water parks, and there is no better place to go to during the hottest months of the year. I am here to let you know about Beach Bend Water Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky. I'm going to tell you what exactly there is to do there and how it compares to some of the other water parks I have visited over the years.

Having lived in Bowling Green for the past 5 years, I have made frequent visits to Beach Bend over the last few summers. Overall, Beach Bend isn't the greatest water park I have ever visited but it may have one of the cheapest entry prices I have ever seen. The prices range from $5 to $24 for entry. There is a roller coaster park at Beach Bend but that will cost extra. After 5 pm you can get in at only a $5 entry fee! If you want to know about the roller coaster park go ask someone else, like I said I hate those things!

The water park is definetely the cheapest part of the park to enter. Included at the water park is a large swimming pool (obviously), three water slides, and a children's area to play on slides in a very shallow pool. Now this may not sound like a whole lot but it can definetely keep you entertained for hours if you go just a couple of times in one summer. I always go with a few friends of mine and we stay for usually 3 hours. Three hours of entertainment at 5 bucks can't be beaten anywhere in the city.

The park is perfect for kids because the slides are a lot of fun but are tame enough not to scare many of the younger kids. One or two people can go down the slides at a time, so parents can slide down with their kids if they so choose. The park is fairly crowded but the after 5 pm crowd is usually not too bad and the wait time for the slides is usually only about 5 minutes.

Like I said earlier, there are other things that the park offers during the year. There is a roller coaster park, a putt-putt golf course, and a small video arcade. But my favorite part (by far) is the water park portiion of Beach Bend. Not to far off from Beach Bend is Nashville Shores water park in Nashville, Tennessee. It will cost you a little bit extra but it has a little more to offer in entertainment value. It has a wave pool and a couple more water slides. But if you live in Bowling Green your best value bet would be to stay in the city and to visit Beach Bend. So if you are looking for an affordable, relaxing day with the family or friends beach bend water park is an excellent way to spend five bucks on.

Will never go there. On the phone the lady i spoke to was very rude when i asked how much tickets to get in are. then she needed to put me on hold. A man pick up and was more rude then the last person i spoke to. It turned out to be the owner. when i asked if i had the right number thinking this was a joke. he said this is Beach Bend and he was the owner. I told him he was extremely rude and he does not get our business. He didn't seem to care and said he does not need it. I could just imagine how his employees act if this is the way the owner treats new customers.

I went there today and was very upset with alot of things. First, long lines and only a couple of stands to get food. Refills are in same line. No lockers available. There for 3 hrs and it starts to pour, of course no rainchecks or refunds.
