If you enjoy live theater and enjoy eating out you will love Beef & Boards Dinner Theater in Indianapolis Indiana. It is located at 9301 N Michigan Road in Indianapolis Indiana.Phone number for reservations is 317-872-9664.There are several options to choose from for your membership, all tho you don't have to be a member to go here. It is just less expensive . With a membership you buy one ticket and get 1 free.So you get 2 tickets for the price of one. There is the VIP which is valid for any Sunday through Friday performance .This costs around 105.00 This is a yearly membership fee.

You only pay this once a year. Then when it comes time for the show tickets are 68.00 for 2 people.Membership includes a bountiful ,all you can eat buffet style meal,a complimentary house dessert and discounts on concerts and gift shop purchases. Then there is the Early Bird Membership which also consists of 2 tickets for price of one, meal and dessert. This costs around 66.50 These tickets are good Sunday through Friday evening performances during the first 3 weeks of its production. And last but not least is the Premiere Season ticket.Valid for Friday or Saturday night in the first 5 weeks of production.Package includes all you can eat buffet, a glass of wine or gourmet dessert and personal service.

This package costs around 315.00 per person. Not much difference between this and VIP except this is more money. To me it isn't worth the money when you can get the same thing with the other plans. Only difference is you don't get wine.

We always buy the VIP plus package as we buy the one ticket and get one free, but the VIP plus membership in my book is the best deal. You get the meal (all you can eat) ,dessert and see the show for 2 people for 68.00. Which isn't bad for a whole days entertainment in todays price range. We always sit in private box seats made for just 2 people. it is more cozy and romantic. But it is a few more dollars.Other wise they stick you at these table for 4 and you are so crowded that you can barely move your arm up to eat.I for one would rather pay a few more dollars and not only have privacy but more room to move in, without fear of dumping something in someones lap.

An advantage of being a member is that you get advance seating,a convenient exchange policy and the option to pay as you go. Which is what we do.I set up our seats ( in box seats) in advance up to a year.Membership must be paid. These seats go very fast. Then we pay as we go for the shows we want to see. Fees must be paid 2 weeks in advance of the show. This is better than having to pay all the money up front for the year because anything could happen in a year. Another good option is you only pay for the the shows you choose to attend.

There are usually 7 shows throughout the year. The actors and actresses are professionals. Some have been on T.V.and played with some very famous movie stars. They are very good at what they do.A lot have played on cruise ships also.If you love live theater you will love it here.

As you walk in they ask your name and you are personally escorted to your table. The tables all have beautiful white table cloths and a small burning candle on each table. The server then comes to your table and takes your drink order. Tea,lemonade and coffee are free and plentiful. You may order alcohol drinks if you wish but they are extra. We usually order a pitcher of tea.In a few minutes after this you are asked to go down to the buffet to get your food.(You climb down the stairs to the stage ,this is where the food is). There you get 1 plate for your salad and 1 plate for your main entre. It is all you can eat. if you need or want seconds you can get them. We never do.After eating they bring around desserts on a big tray and you order your desserts. We save ours for intermission time and eat it then.

All in all this is a wonderful pleasant experience if you have never been here. You should try to go sometime. I know you would love it.

Thanks for the kind words maggie. My husband and I go see every performance they have. I have been going for over 10 years now and we just love it here. It is also romantic.(I am over 60 and yes even we like romance). We like to sit in the private box seats made for 2 people only. This is truely a lovely place.

Thanks for the review. I'm from Indiana, and have thought about going to this venue when we go home (I think the Glenn Miller Orchestra is performing there this year). You've helped me decide that I should definitely go. Thanks!
