Review of the Best Phoenix Seafood Restaurants

Rich Jones
I recently traveled to Phoenix, Arizona because of a friend that purchased some tickets to a WWE event as a gift. I didn't think that being in Phoenix would be any fun because of the hot weather and the bad food. I have a lot of friends that live in Phoenix and they always told me that they didn't like the local food. I personally love seafood and so I thought it would be a good idea to make it into an adventure but looking for the best places to eat in town. I love shrimp and I figure that even bad shrimp is pretty good so I would try and find the best seafood in Phoenix. I was pretty happy with the best places that I found in Phoenix because it reminded me a lot of great restaurants in New York.

The best seafood restaurant is Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen located at 11051 N Black Canyon Hwy. They are open daily from 11am to 10pm and they also offer takeout service. I had the $4 dozen oysters and they were very good. The service was great and the food was very fresh. I could taste the sea and that is something I enjoy in seafood. I also had their dessert trio for $7 it includes pecan pie, bread pudding and crème brulee.

The dessert was a good portion that I shared with a friend; I left full and spent about $25 for two people.

I also love the Ocean Prime restaurant located at 5455 E High Street. The place has an amazing atmosphere and I love their fireplaces. This place has a very romantic feeling and you can make reservations online. The halibut with asparagus and mushrooms dish was very good and I believe it ran me about $20. This is pretty expensive but this is a very romantic place I also love the crab cakes and I suggest you get these in addition to any meal. This is a place you will need to dress up and should be reserved for a date.

I also enjoy Pete's Fish & Chips located at 3920 S Central Ave because it is everything I love about seafood. It is fried fish with amazing sauce. You can take it to go or eat outside. They do not take credit but the food costs about $8. This is a place you can get some great fish and dinner for two under $20.

Yup, Pappadeaux is terrific! Thanks for the tips on the other two places - i moved here from Seattle and love good seafood! We go to Pappas at least every two weeks for Happy Hour/Dinner!
