I am a fan of muffins and when I came across a box of Betty Crocker Sunkist Lemon Poppy Seed Muffin Mix in the cake mixes section of my local grocery store, I was delighted. I love so many Betty Crocker brand food products, I was excited to try this one. Here is a product review all about my findings!
This mix costs around three dollars. It yields sixteen muffins. That is a bargain, in my book. You can also make these muffins low fat by altering the recipe. Instructions on how to do this are on the box. This mix comes with a Sunkist brand lemon glaze to pour over the muffins, after they are baked. I liked that very much! I needed two eggs, milk and some vegetable oil to make these muffins. I always have those ingredients on hand. You will also need baking cups to place in your muffin pan. Do grease the bottom of the cups before pouring batter into them. This mix was so easy to use. I mixed the ingredients together, poured into the muffin cups pan and baked for twenty minutes. I let the muffins cool for five minutes and glazed them with the lemon glaze. These looked so wonderful and smelled fantastic!
When I tasted Betty Crocker Sunkist Lemon Poppy Seed Muffin Mix, I loved them. They have a tangy lemon flavor and lots of poppy seeds in them. They were moist and delicious. I was very impressed with this product and will be buying it again. I rate this muffin mix four and one half stars out of five stars. I like poppy seeds, but this mix does have a tad too many. The lemon glaze really adds something special to this treat, I must say. Except for the enormous amount of poppy seeds, these muffins are just about perfect. I really liked the size of them. You can also bake this mix in a loaf pan and make a lemon glazed quick bread. Awesome! I enjoyed trying this mix and writing this product review about it. Everyone that ate these at my house loved them. This one is a winner!
One of Betty Crocker Sunkist Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins has 200 calories. 70 of those calories are from fat. You can cut the fat and cholesterol content by using skim milk and egg whites. These muffins have a sassy lemon flavor that will please lemon lovers. These make fun treats to serve guests. They will thrill poppy seed lovers!
