The PC game Big City Adventure: New York City is a good game that almost anyone can enjoy. It is a hidden object game as well as a puzzle game. There is a small video that shows the whole family together discussing the wonderful places that they have been before New York City is chosen. To begin the Big City Adventure: New York City video game you must give a name and choose which Martin family member icon you are like sister, brother, grandma, mother and more.
New York City is a place full of tourist attractions, eateries and more. During the game each place is highlighted and used in the next hidden object puzzle. There is many places looked at, and maybe some that even New Yorkers have never been to. The wide array of attractions keep the game lively and can even teach a little history. A postcard with information about each new location is shown and sent to friends back home.
The hidden object section of the Big City Adventure: New York City game was wonderfully crafted. There is so many items packed into colorful and busy backgrounds that it takes some effort to find many of the hidden items. The change of backgrounds also indicate a change in the items looked for. This keeps monotony from setting in when playing many levels at a time. In each scene there are about twelve items to be found. Some items are hidden in a pop up detailed section of the scene.
Big City Adventure: New York City game advances through the back and forth use of hidden object puzzles and mini game puzzlers. The puzzle section of the game has various mini puzzles such as jigsaw puzzles and road fixer games. The puzzling road fixer minigame is similar to the pc game Vines. It is upto you to turn sections of road into a full length road so that the car can drive to the new destination. The puzzle is easy at first, but becomes more complex the more that you advance.
The game has built in helps for the player in the form of coins. Various coins give bonuses of time, item finders, points and more. Most of the coins are earned in the hidden object portion of the game. However, there are skip coins that are earned in the mini puzzler games section. These coins are helpful when a puzzle has you stumped but you want to go on. These coins are sparse though and should be used responsibly.
The Big City Adventure: New York City pc game can be bought at Big Fish Games website for only $6.99.
