Review - Bike World in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Marilyn Quinn
With over 400 miles of bike paths and trails in Albuquerque, it is apparent that cycling is very popular and there is great need for quality service and equipment. Today I am reviewing Bike World; an Albuquerque cycling store with 3 locations.

I visited the Coors location, but if every employee is as knowledgeable and friendly as the one who helped me, then I would highly recommend you visit any of them.

I was greeted friendly at the door by the sales clerk who offered assistance in helping me find what I was looking for. I stated simply my needs as far as a bike was concerned and she led me directly to a model that fit the bill. The bike in question was a cannondale; a hybrid made for street riding but able to handle a little dirt too.

She offered to let me take it for a test ride and even joined me outside herself. She observed the size of the bike and how it fit and quickly recommended a larger one. This one felt perfect and rode great.

I explained that I was just looking today, but would likely return to purchase at a later date. She took the opportunity to explain the layaway plan to me and even showed me some options on seats that would allow a more comfortable ride when I did decide to come back.

Bike World repairs cycles right there in the shop. They have a one year guarantee thorn-proofing and flat protection. They also explained that a purchase there got free lifetime tune-ups.

Overall, the selection was expansive. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. They had a range of products that included apparel, accessories and bikes for men, women and children.

I highly recommend you stop by and see them for your cycling needs. Should be no problem finding a good time as they are open seven days a week.
