Fun Factor:
I can remember reading a magazine that had a preview of the game "BioShock". It basically just had a few screen shots, and that was it. I remember how amazing the screen shots looked, how the art direction had a unique style I had never seen before, and how just plain awesome this game looked. Excited, I checked the magazine for a release date, and found that it would not be released for at least another year. Sadly, I closed the magazine, thinking, "Ill have to check that game out."

Fast Forward about a year later, watching T.V one night, with basically nothing to do, a T.V ad for, guess what, "BioShock", was on. My jaw dropped as I saw footage from the game. The graphics looked amazing, the sounds I heard teased my ear drums, and best of all, the text that said "Available Now For Xbox 360". I immediately jumped up and drove down to the store and dropped my hard earned money on a game I barely knew anything about. The best part is, it's worth every single penny. Here is my Review of "BioShock".

The Story:

I have never played a game once where I fell in love with the story line so much! I am actually not gonna describe it in much detail here, because it is so vital to the game play. The voice acting is phenomenal. The story sets the mood, and because it's such a gripping script, it really pulls you into the game. I've never had a game. whose story line made me feel concerned. The writes did such a great job. A+!

The Graphics:

There's just three letters to describe the graphics in this game. " O M G " (That's Oh My God for all you non Internet lingo folks) . The game is in TRUE High Definition. The screen seems so crisp during actual game play that sometimes you feel your watching a movie, rather than playing a game. So face it, this is next-gen 100% Not to even mention the art direction. The game displays a very 1940's art-deco film nor. The colors almost seem to jump off the screen. It actually makes you feel, that this world you are in, was built somewhere between the 40's and 50's, and time just forgot it. Amazing. A++!

Sound:

Well the graphics are amazing, and the sound is right there with it. In game sound effects are beautifully done. As I had said before, the voice actioning is amazing, but the sound effects everywhere are equally believable. Anything from foot steps, to bottles breaking, machine gun bursts, and ambiance is done beautifully. Also, the music, is so eerie. They even went out and bought rights to a musician from that time era, "Django Reinheart" and used his hauntingly beautiful version of "Beyond the Sea." I actually loved the music so much, I bought his solo Cd!

Game Play And Controls:

We all know that no matter how awesome a game looks and sounds, if the controls are bad, the game is bad. BioShock does not fail us! The controls are as tight as can be. There is no learning curve at all. It just feels so natural. Combat is done extremely well. It never once feels like a button masher. Everything you do, you can plan out and do it just the way you want. Total immersion is the feeling you have while controlling your way through this under water world. Perfect.

Overall and Final Thoughts:

BioShock will grip you, pull you in, and love you. This is truly a work of love. You can just feel how much time went into every detail. It can be very complicated, but never confusing. I would have payed double the price of this game. A work of art. Replay value is pretty high, due to all the achievements one can get. Buy this game NOW!

Your enthusium definitely comes out in your writing, though I was a bit disappointed with lack of actual information on the game. I managed to see the Bioshock demo and found the game rather harrowing and creepy. This is not a game for kids, that's for certain.
You're so right about graphic and sound though. The atmosphere of this game world is just breathtaking.

I believe that would only be with the PC version of this game Tsu. :)

Have you found the DRM infestation that installs with the game?
