I certainly do. "Remember the Titans" was one of the greatest films representing the importance of friendship despite the greatest odds against it - in this case, racism. This film was inspiring, with a great cast, and it advocated discipline, hard work, and standing up for what you believe in. It portrayed the rampant racism that occurred in every day life, even (and especially) in sports.
Now "Blind Side", the 2009 film starring Sandra Bullock and Quinton Aaron, may have surpassed the greatness of the Titans. Sandra Bullock's performance is one of her greatest yet - she adapts a deep Southern accent, and applies the attitude of an army, with no fear and great determination. This film follows the story of a troubled, lost young man named "Big Mike" (or "Michael Oher"), who is applied to a private school by his friend's father. Despite the school's hesitation, the good Christian faith (and desire to put him into sports) of the school's coach persuades the school board to give him a chance.
Through this change in Michael Oher's fate, he is able to meet the Tuohy family. S.J. and Collins Tuohy both attend the private school Michael attends, and as the family gets to know him and sees he has nowhere to go, they takes him in; mostly due to the determination and good grace of Mrs. Leigh Anne Tuohy.
Put simply, this film follows the life of the newly achieved NFL player, Michael Oher. From the bad side of town, to having nowhere to go, to being lovingly adopted by the Tuohy family, his life is a testament to new beginnings, good faith, and the difference one choice and one life can make. This movie is a must-see, in its inspirational message and the brilliant story that can relate to many people around the world, and must be shared.
This film is great for all ages, as it contains mature themes but does not go into explicit or extremely inappropriate details. It shows vivid realities and sorrows that exist in the world, and can be educational, eye opening, and inspirational for every audience. The content allows it to be entertaining and enjoyable for young kids, as well as adults. I would highly recommend this film, and even go as far to say that it is one of the best films I've seen this year.
