Review: Boon Flair High Chair

After having my second child, I decide to invest in yet another highchair, making this one my third highchair in three years. I guess you could say I'm becoming quite a bit of an expert, I've done a ton of research on highchairs and I've used a few models myself both at home, and to try them out in the store.

This time, I decided to go with the Boon Pedestal Flair high chair. It's got somewhat of an odd shape to it; it looks a bit like you'd expect a high chair to look like on a spaceship. Yes, it's very modern, space-age looking. The pedestal is large and sturdy and the pneumonic lift really is amazingly easy and it offers a cushy ride for baby. The base is also easy to clean, just wipe it down, nothing sticks to it at all! It rolls easily and locks with just a step on a button.

The seat is compact and the tray is small but it's the perfect size for a baby. The chair comes with two clear plastic tray liners that makes clean up a snap and the trays are small enough to fit into even the smallest dishwasher. The straps provide a five-point harness and they're easy to remove for machine washing. Once my son grows too much to use the tray, we can lower the seat a little and he can join us right at the table.

The seat itself is why I HAD to have this highchair. It's seamless, people! NO SEAMS! Which means there is no place for food to get stuck or trapped, providing you with one smooth surface to wipe clean quickly after each meal and snack. The seat pad is small and it's not attached so you simply lift it off and wipe underneath. I've never ever cleaned a highchair so effectively and quickly as I do with my Boon. I actually like cleaning it because it's so easy.

The color is really great. It's translucent pale aqua blue with a white seat pad, so fairly neutral but modern. The design itself is modern so it fits in nicely with today's kitchen styles. It's not easy to store as it is bulky but it's attractive enough that you won't mind having it out in the kitchen.

I highly recommend the Boon Pedestal Flair high chair. I can't even believe how much time I've wasted in the past scrubbing my previous highchairs. This chair is amazing!
